Mary knew that to pursue her dreams, she needed to become an engineer, but the schools in her area did not allow black students to attend. This did not stop her from fighting for her rights. Mary went to a judge and demanded to be allowed to attend school, just like any other child. Mary's story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of fighting for what is right.
